Works | Thailand 2016

In 2016, I travelled with a few artist friends, Chen Zuo, Fang Xianchen, Qiushi Yu and a collector friend Jun Yao, to a small island in Thailand. We painted, drew, and fellowship, it was a beautiful week. I painted a series of individual and group portraits, setting them against the turquoise blue water. I was also attracted by the concept of 'Holiday' where people would make effort to do 'nothing' or seemingly boring activities, sports, to revive our body and mind often worn out by fast-paced urban life.

We also held a group show afterward in 798 Art District, Beijing.
