Works | Cyprus and London 2021

I often travel with Christian leaders from the world for retreat where I serve as a translator, but I would also paint, everyday. Cyprus is a frequented spot, not only because of the biblical history the island carries, but it's also a beautiful place where I suppose all artists want stay and paint. I painted some of friends who are dedicated in serving others, I often see light, happiness, and determination in such group of people. I also often see children or child-like spirit in them, which is something I want to capture primarily.

The last thing that captured my attention in that, I often find people who have faith also are less inclined to hide their true feelings, vulnerability, and probably more free. If you look at a lot of the early portraits from the Renaissance to mid-19 century, they all carry this beautiful spirit of vulnerability.
